Tactical Buyer in Trollhättan
Are you a structured and analytical person with experience in purchasing and an interest in working in a dynamic environment? We are now looking for a Tactical Buyer for a consulting assignment with one of our clients who wants to help develop our client's supply chain and ensure high quality in their purchasing processes.
About the role
As a tactical buyer, you have significant responsibility for your supplier base and work both operationally and strategically. You have many points of contact – internally and with suppliers worldwide. The role involves following established routines, handling urgent matters, and solving problems to create a disruption-free production. Together with your team, you drive continuous improvements and contribute to the success of the business.
Example of a workday
- Morning meeting with production to check delivery status and resolve any challenges.
- Manage delivery issues through cross-functional meetings and action plans.
- Participate in project meetings to understand product requirements and plan procurement of prototype hardware.
- Collaborate with strategic buyers to develop inquiries and procurement plans.
About the team
You will be part of a dedicated team of nine people responsible for purchasing and planning production materials in Trollhättan. We have a good collaborative climate and close contact with our strategic buyers at our headquarters.
We are looking for someone who
- Has a few years of experience in purchasing, preferably within a larger organization and with international suppliers.
- Has a university degree in engineering and/or economics.
- Is structured, analytical, and has good problem-solving skills.
- Enjoys building strong relationships and collaborating effectively.
- Is proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Has good knowledge of the Office suite, preferably Excel. Experience with SAP is an advantage.
Your responsibilities
- Manage purchase orders and invoices.
- Optimize material availability and update material master in SAP.
- Plan and balance material and component procurement.
- Lead supplier meetings and follow up on supplier development.
- Prepare and conduct negotiations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of purchasing strategies.
